The cobra is a snake understand what kind of person I am when I did not even 22 years.
I was camping in Croatia, in the bathroom, I was washing my face. I open my eyes and look in the mirror to check that I was good soap, and the corner of my eye I notice a movement to my right. On the threshold, the only way in or out, less than ten meters from me, there was a large snake, half curled but bet with your head up in the attack phase, swaying his head.
I freeze. In a flash I explored all the options: there was no one else in the bathroom with me, the windows were long and narrow and you could not move, shut in one of the bathrooms was not useful because the door had a large open space to basis, and at the snake blocked the exit, and I was pointing, and could move be fatal.
And what was my first thought? "Rinse the face." Why had I joined the soap in my eyes I was blind and I could not defend myself. And so I did. Pumped with adrenaline a thousand veins, the awareness of a snake that I was aiming, without sudden movements, I slowly rinsed and dried her face. The second thought was, "Think." And so I did it again. "Lock the door, you can not get out. You could still expect that someone will come here, but he could move first. And then what do you know that someone will come in time? You can not cry or upset. What is snake? E 'big, be poisonous? Wait, his neck so flat there are only the cobra. What the fuck is there a snake in Croatia? What the fuck sways his head like a geek? Hey, that reflection is it? "And so I saw it. In a ray of sunshine, I saw the thin nylon line that 9 out of 10 was handled by someone outside, to give movement to the snake that was now almost certain was made of rubber to make it look real.
At this point, the make or break. falsely sure-footed through the bathroom, stepped over the snake, I smile to the three astonished German children staring at me with disappointment, and I go back to the trailer. Only then, after closing the door, jumped on the bed, I let myself go and vent the tension of those two and a half minutes in a sort of nervous breakdown.
In those two minutes and a half I realized that I'm that blood cold. I can be terrified, but my brain does not stop. What if there is a snake that wants to attack me but I have the soap that I drip into eyes, flush my face.
This does not mean that I am cold, insensitive, or that.
E 'I think that first, analyze and solve problems.
I'll cry later.
